Having more retailer options when it comes time to buy a new smartphone is always a good thing, and it looks like T-Mobile customers that are interested in a prepaid iPhone 5 just got two more of them. Both Best Buy and Walmart have begun selling 16GB iPhone 5s for use with T-Mobile's prepaid service. Both the black and white versions of the iPhone 5 are available from the two retailers. One difference between the two stores is pricing, with Walmart asking $629.88 for its 16GB iPhone 5s and Best Buy slapping a price tag of $649.99 on its units.
It's also worth noting that Apple sells a 16GB iPhone 5 in its online shop for $649.99, the same price as Best Buy, and can include a T-Mobile-compatible SIM card for buyers that'd like one. The fact that T-Mobile's prepaid iPhone 5 is priced above $600 at all three retailers means that this buying method won't be for everyone, but for those that are comfortable with shelling out full retail price for a new smartphone, it's nice to see additional outlets begin to offer the prepaid iPhone 5.
