After confirming its plans to offer the OnePlus One in a preorder system earlier this month, OnePlus today gave us the official details on how the system will work.
The OnePlus One preorder system will open on October 27 at 11:00 AM EST/8:00AM PST/15:00 GMT. Preorders will be open for one hour, during which time anyone can order a OnePlus One. OnePlus has previously said that if it has any stock, your order will ship right away. If there is no stock, your order will become a preorder and you’ll be given an estimated ship time before you pay.
In addition to offering preorders for the OnePlus One, OnePlus will offer special pricing on its accessories during the one hour preorder window. For example, its JBL E1+ Earphones will be available for $24.99, down from their regular price of $39.99.
While it’s kind of a bummer that OnePlus One order will only be open for an hour, at least we’ve gotten a week’s notice. And hey, it’ll be nice that anyone will be able to place an order for a OnePlus One rather than having to wait for an invite.
Are you going to order a OnePlus One when the system goes live next week?
