One of the perks of having an Android Wear device is being able to get your notifications sent to your wrist so that you don’t have to pull out your phone over and over and over. Now Google Glass users will get the same feature.
Google has announced that it plans to push an update to Glass that will enable Notification Sync. As its name suggests, the feature will let you see notifications from your Android phone on your Glass. The update with Notification Sync is rolling out “this week,” and the MyGlass v3.3.0 update that is required for the feature is coming on Wednesday.
Once you’ve got both updates, the process to enable Notification Sync is pretty simple. All that you need to do is go into your MyGlass app, turn on Notification Sync by checking a box and you’ll be good to go. You can see a demonstration of the whole setup process in the video below.
Notification Sync sounds like a pretty handy feature for Google Glass wearers, as it requires even less effort than Android Wear when it comes to checking your phone’s notifications. Of course, Notification Sync could get a bit annoying if you’re constantly getting pinged with alerts, so that may be something to keep in mind if you’re thinking about flipping the switch on Notification Sync when the updates arrive later this week.
