Last week saw Samsung introduce a special version of the Galaxy S5 known as the Galaxy S5 LTE-A, complete with some new colors, LTE-Advanced connectivity and a 2560x1440 display. Now Sammy has revealed an even more special version of that device with a fresh set of duds.
Samsung is teaming up with South Korean carrier KT to offer a special edition of the Galaxy S5 LTE-A with a diamond-patterened backside. To compare, the regular Galaxy S5 and S5 LTE-A have a dimpled texture on their rears.
Besides this new design, the KT-exclusive S5 LTE-A is the same as the S5 LTE-A that was announced last week. That means that it’s packing a 5.1-inch 2560x1440 display, 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel rear camera and LTE-Advanced connectivity with support for download speeds of up to 225Mbps.
While many folks feel that the Galaxy S5’s dimpled backside is an improvement over the Galaxy S 4’s slick, plastic rear. Obviously we don’t yet know how this diamond-patterened S5 LTE-A feels since it was just announced, but it certainly gives the device a much more premium look when compared to the GS5.
What do you think of this new Galaxy S5 LTE-A? Do you like its new design better than the regular GS5?
