It’s Friday, which means that the weekend is nearly here, which means that it’s time to celebrate with some good news. And new plans are always good news, right?
Virgin Mobile has revealed that it’s teaming up with Walmart to offer exclusive payLo plans at the big box retailer. Starting tomorrow, consumers that buy either the Kyocera Kona or Samsung Montage will be able to sign up for one of two $20 plans: an Unlimited Talk plan with unlimited minutes and 50 messages or an Unlimited Text plan with unlimited messages and 50 minutes of voice calling.
The Kyocera Kona is a fairly basic $16 flip phone with a 1.44-inch external display, 2.4-inch internal screen, 2-megapixel camera and built-in support for Facebook and Twitter. Meanwhile, the Samsung Montage is a sliding QWERTY handset that’s priced at $32 and includes a 1.4-inch QVGA screen, 2-megapixel camera and a microSD card slot.
These two new payLo plans look like nice options for customers that just want a basic phone that they can either do a lot of texting or talking on. $20 a month is pretty cheap for a plan, especially considering that you’re getting unlimited minutes or messages for that price.
Virgin Mobile also notes that if you need a bit more minutes or messages than these $20 plans offer, you can also sign up for a $30 plan with 1500 minutes and messages or a $40 plan that includes bottomless talk and text.
