Just as expected, Motorola is now offering a 64GB version of the Moto X through its Moto Maker customization tool.
The 64GB Moto X is priced at $149.99 with a contract or $449.99 without a commitment. It’s available for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Republic Wireless and can be customized using the online Moto Maker tool. As with the other versions of the Moto X, adding a “Natural” wooden back panel raises the price of the unit by $25.
Ever since the Moto X launched last year, the device has been available with either 16GB or 32GB of storage. Because the X doesn’t offer a microSD card slot, though, that means that buyers are limited to the amount of storage space that comes with their phone. While 16GB or 32GB may be enough for some, folks that like to load up on music, games and other content may quickly find those sizes to be a bit cramped. That’s why it’s good to see Motorola expand its offerings to include a 64GB Moto X for those customers that are especially storage hungry.
In other Motorola news, the company quickly sold out of its allotment of “Try Then Buy” Moto X units. The “Try Then Buy” promo allowed consumers to customize a Moto X and try the device out at home for just $0.01. If the buyer doesn’t like the device, they can send it back to Motorola and pay nothing else. The promo only started at midnight today and lasted a few hours this morning, though, so if you weren’t willing to stay up late for the Moto X promo, it looks like you’re out of luck.
