A couple of weeks after the unlocked and Developer Edition HTC One (M7)’s Sense 6 updates entered the “Certification” phase of the update process, those updates have now started to roll out to users.
HTC Product Manager Leigh Momii has revealed that a major update is now rolling out over the air to both the unlocked and Developer Edition HTC One (M7) models. The 667.15MB update brings HTC’s Sense 6 overlay, Extreme Power Saving mode, smoother scrolling in BlinkFeed and much more.
While this update doesn’t bump the unlocked and Developer Edition HTC One (M7) models to a newer version of Android, they do include a number of HTC-specific changes that ought to greatly improve the user experience of the device. It’s no surprise to see this update rolling out since HTC recently committed to providing the One (M7) with two years of updates, but it’s still nice to see these models getting treated to HTC’s latest software.
If you’re rocking either an unlocked or Developer Edition HTC One (M7), hit up Settings > About > Software Updates > Check now to see if you can pull the update from the sky!
