Did you celebrate the end of Verizon’s Windows Phone drought earlier this year by picking up a Nokia Lumia Icon? If so, you might wanna hop into your Icon’s Settings menu and hit up Phone Update, because there’s some new software rolling out to your device.
Verizon has announced a new update for the Lumia Icon that bumps the Windows Phone 8 device up to software version 1028.3566.1417.0047. This update packs in quite a few fixes, enhancements and other tweaks, the full list of which is as follows:
KEY ENHANCEMENTS:
- Improvements to Wi-Fi Connectivity to ensure a more consistent experience

- Nokia Music is now Nokia MixRadio
- Completely refreshed app with new look to make it even easier to use

- Quality settings to optimize speed and frame-rate

That’s a pretty beefy changelog, no? What’s better is that there are quite a few tweaks in there that ought to improve the experience of using the Lumia Icon day in and day out, especially that enhancement to its Wi-Fi connectivity.
