Lately it seems that whenever we talk about a smartphone getting a limited time discount, it’s Motorola that’s knocking some cash off of the price of a no-contract Moto X. Things are a little different today, though, as it’s HTC that’s doing the price slashing.
HTC has announced that starting tomorrow, May 8, it will sell the HTC One (M8) for AT&T, Sprint and Verizon for just $99 on-contract. The sale will kick off at 12:01 a.m. CT and wrap up at 11:59 p.m. CT. The offer will be available to new and upgrading customers, and as you might’ve guessed from the price, a two-year contract is required.
The HTC One (M8) is just a little over a month old at this point, and so being able to snag a unit for just $99 on-contract is a pretty sweet deal, especially considering that it’s considered by many to be one of the best smartphones available right now. Unfortunately for those folks that like the color magenta or enjoy tinkering with their devices, the T-Mobile, unlocked and Developer Edition versions of the One (M8) don’t appear to be eligible for the promo.
Are any of you thinking about taking advantage of this limited time sale on HTC’s new flagship? If you’re still on the fence, our video review of the One (M8) should help you make up your mind!
