Motorola has been pretty update-happy in recent months, pushing out new versions of its unique apps on a fairly regular basis. That trend continues today, as the company has released a new version of Motorola Connect.
Motorola Connect is an app that, once installed both on a compatible device (Moto X, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx and Droid Mini) and in your Chrome browser, allows you to see incoming calls and texts within Chrome. The app also allows you to read and respond to texts from your computer.
This latest update bumps Motorola Connect to version 1.5.1 and enables support for picture messages and group messages. Once installed, users will be able to receive picture and group messages and respond to them with individual text messages. The update also includes improvements to contacts match and number formatting as well as some unspecified bug fixes.
With its frequent app and Android OS updates, Motorola has shown that its dedicated to both its customers and its devices. It’s great to see Motorola continue to support its products with fresh software and features, and I’m betting that its efforts are earning it quite a bit of goodwill with consumers.
