Apparently the Galaxy S5 mini isn't the only Galaxy S5 variant that Samsung may have in its pipeline.
A new image that claims to show the Galaxy S5 zoom has made its way online, showing the backside of a white device with a flash and optical zoom. The unit also appears to have a faux leather texture similar to the one that's present on the Galaxy Note 3 and Chromebook 2.
According to the rumor mill, the Galaxy S5 zoom's spec sheet includes a 20-megapixel camera sensor, 10x optical zoom and a body that's both thinner and lighter than the Galaxy S4 zoom. That's likely thanks to the loss of the grip that stuck out of the old model's backside.
When it was first introduced, the Galaxy S4 zoom had a spec list that was entry-level to mid-range due to features like a 4.3-inch 960x540 display and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. It's not yet clear what the Galaxy S5 zoom will be like specs-wise, but it sounds like Sammy has at least opted to beef up the sensor in this new model. Rumors have suggested that the Galaxy S5 mini will get a decent spec bump over the Galaxy S4 mini, though, so here's to hoping that the Galaxy S5 zoom gets a similar treatment.
