Less than a month after adding Settings and Help options to the slide-out panel of the Play Store, Google today quietly added yet another section to the menu.
As you can see in the screenshots above, Google is in the process of adding a "People" section to Android's Play Store. Clicking on People in your slide-out menu will show apps that've been +1'd and reviewed by your Google+ friends as well as recommendations for other people that you can follow. At the bottom of the page are icons of some other Google+ people that you follow that, when clicked, will display apps that those users have recently shared.
Individual app pages have displayed +1's for some time now, but this new People section looks like a nice way for Android users to find new apps that their friends are digging. Google hasn't made any official announcements regarding the rollout of the People section, but it just magically popped up on my Moto X this afternoon, so you may want to fire up the Play Store on your Android device and see if Google has slipped the new section into your slide-out menu.
