Earlier this month, Samsung inadvertently revealed that it had some new Galaxy Tab 4 devices in the works, listing three different sizes for the tablet family on a Gear Fit compatibility page. We didn't know much more about the slates at the time, but as is usually the case, the rumor mill has come through once again to give us an early peek at Samsung's upcoming tablet hardware.
A purported image of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has been posted to Twitter this morning by @evleaks. This unit looks fairly similar to the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, sporting less curvy look than its predecessor. It's also got Multitasking and Back capacitive buttons on its face rather than the Menu and Back keys found on the front of the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0.
The Galaxy Tab line has been a part of Samsung's product family for quite some time. That's especially true of the 7-inch model, which is the size that the very first Galaxy Tab came in. Because of this, it's no surprise to learn that Samsung's got a fourth generation of GTabs in its pipeline. And while we don't yet know what kind of specs will make this model tick, the previous entries in this series have been fairly entry-level, so I won't be surprised if the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is as well.
UPDATE: @evleaks has now posted an image of the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 in white. The device is shown at an angle, giving us a peek at its bottom-mounted microUSB port as well as the power and volume buttons and what looks to be a microSD slot on its side.
