Microsoft is widely expected to unveil Windows Phone 8.1 at its Build Developer Conference in a couple of weeks, and while the company hasn't said anything official about such an announcement, the company's website today suggested that WP8.1 is indeed getting close.
Earlier today, the "Features" section of Microsoft's Windows Phone website included a section for "Windows Phone 8.1" alongside plain ol' Windows Phone 8. The reference to WP8.1 has since been yanked from the page, but WPCentral says that clicking the link led to an error page.
While today's leak doesn't really provide us with any new information about the Windows Phone 8.1 update, it does hint that Microsoft is preparing to make WP8.1 officially official. Windows Phone 8.1 is slated to be a pretty major update for Microsoft's mobile platform, bringing new features like an Action Center notification panel, Cortana personal assistant, support for on-screen navigation buttons and much, much more. Thankfully we don't have much longer to wait before Microsoft gives us the official rundown on all of those new features and hopefully rolls out a Developer Preview of the update as well.
Have the Windows Phone 8.1 leaks that've surfaced so far convinced you to give the update a try when it's released to the public
