Oppo announced late last year that its upcoming Find 7 smartphone will feature a 5.5-inch 2560x1440 display, much to the delight of pixel-dense display lovers everywhere. Not everyone wants such a high-res display, though, with some folks saying that those screens are overkill and that they'll sap too much battery life. Well today Oppo has some good news for those folks as well, revealing that it's got a second, lower-res version of the Find 7 planned.
Over on its official Google+ page, Oppo today said that it's planning two show off two versions of the Find 7 on March 19. An image attached to the post depicts two displays: one with a 1920x1080 resolution and another with a 2560x1440 resolution.
Typically when a manufacturer offers multiple versions of one of its phones, the only difference between the devices relates to their color. That's why it's interesting to learn that Oppo is prepping two Find 7 models with different display resolutions. It's unclear how much of a premium that the high-res 2560x1440 Find 7 might command, but considering that there aren't many smartphones with such a high-res screen on the market right now, I'm betting that there will be at least a few folks that are drawn to Oppo's handset regardless of its cost.
