Apple pushing iOS 7.0.6 and 6.1.6 updates to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users

iPhone 5 update

Heads up, iOS users, because you've got some new software headed your way.

Apple just unleashed an update to iOS 7.0.6 to the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The update is a fairly small one, packing in a fix for SSL connection verification. The update is build number 11b651 and weighs in at 35.4MB on an iPhone 5s. Apple is also rolling out an update to iOS 6.1.6 (build 10b500) for the iPhone 3GS and fourth-generation iPod touch.

These latest updates come less than a month after Apple began pushing iOS 7.0.5 to the iPhone 5s and 5c. Apple is also busy beta testing the iOS 7.1 update, the fifth version of which rolled out earlier this month. The Cupertino firm hasn't said when iOS 7.1 will be rolled out to the public, but a recent rumor suggested that it could arrive in March with some bug fixes and performance improvements in tow.
