Boost Mobile has long touted its Shrinking Payments plan, which includes unlimited talk, text and data at a rate that starts out at $50 per month and decreases by $5 for every 6 on-time payments, eventually shrinking to $40 per month. Today the Sprint MVNO announced that it wants to save its customers even more cash, taking the wraps off of a new promotional plan that offers unlimited talk, text and data for $35 per month.
Kicking off today and running through March 31, Boost Mobile's new $35 Monthly Unlimited offering includes unlimited talk, text and data with a 2.5GB high-speed data threshold. The $35 pricing is good for 6 months, and after that period of time, consumers will be moved to Boost's $50 Shrinking Payments plan. Consumers can sign up for Boost Mobile's $35 plan by purchasing and activating a 4G LTE smartphone on a new Boost account.
Getting unlimited talk, text, and data with a high-speed data allotment of 2.5GB for $35 per month is a pretty spiffy deal. And while it's kind of a bummer that the $35 price point is only good for the 6 months, consumers can get close to that price point with the Shrinking Payments plan, which can be reduced to $40 per month after 12 on-time payments.
