We haven't heard much about Samsung ATIV S Neo since its debut last year, but today the Windows Phone-powered Sprint phone is back in the news in a big way. The device recently began receiving its bump up to Windows Phone 8 Update 3 along with some other notable tweaks. The official changelog for the 2216.14.01.2 update is as follows:
We also know that the update to GDR3 brings its own set of features and improvements. Those include Driving Mode, support for custom ringtones for things like IMs and voicemail, Bluetooth improvements, screen rotation lock and the ability to close running apps in the multitasking menu.
Sprint's ATIV S Neo may not be the biggest-selling Windows Phone ever, but it is one of only two Windows Phone devices currently available on Sprint, meaning that there are likely more than a few Now Network subscribers currently rocking the ATIV S Neo as their daily driver. That's why it's good to see the ATIV S Neo finally getting is GDR3 update.
