LG recently confirmed that its G Pro 2 will debut sometime in February, but the company hasn't offered up any actual details of the device. The rumor mill isn't quite as tight-lipped as the Life's Good crew, though, because two images showing what may be the Optimus G Pro's successor have made their way online today.
Posted to the Korean forum DC Inside, the pictures show a white, LG-branded handset with a design that's fairly reminiscent of LG's other recent flagship phones, the G2 and G Flex. We can see rounded corners and rear-mounted volume and power buttons as well as a camera flash and loudspeaker on the phone's backside, a microUSB port on the bottom of the unit and LG branding on both its front and rear.
The spec details for the LG G Pro 2 are still up in the air, but the original Optimus G Pro was a fairly high-end handset, and so I wouldn't be surprised to see similarly beefy specs from the G Pro 2. A large 1080p display seems like a pretty safe bet, as does a quad-core processor. Rumors have suggested that the G Pro 2 could sport a 6-inch display and 3GB of RAM, both of which also sound like reasonable inclusions.
Overall it looks like the G Pro 2 is shaping up to be a respectable follow-up to the Optimus G Pro, which was one of LG's more well-received handsets of 2013. Here's to hoping that we don't have to wait long after its February debut to get the thing in our hands.
