After making its debut on select Nexus hardware earlier this week, it appears that Android 4.4.2 is now making its way to additional devices.
Reports out of Droid-Life show that the newest version of Google's mobile operating system has started rolling out to the Google Play edition models of both the HTC One and LG G Pad 8.3. We haven't seen any official announcements regarding either update, but screenshots of both updates have been shared online. Additionally, HTC has posted the kernel source and framework support files for the HTC One Google Play edition's Android 4.4.2 update to its HTCdev developer website.
We've seen Google Play edition hardware receive fresh Android updates shortly after Nexus products in the past, and so it's no surprise to see that the GPe flavors of the HTC One and the LG G Pad 8.3 are already being treated to Android 4.4.2. While not a huge update from Android 4.4, the bump to 4.4.2 brings both devices up to the newest version of Android, and I'm sure that owners of the GPe One and G Pad 8.3 are happy to be running the latest version of Android so soon after it hit Google's Nexus hardware.
There's no word yet on the Android 4.4.2 updates for other Google Play edition hardware, but stay tuned and I'll pass along any other details as I get 'em.
