Just a few days after Motorola officially began taking orders for the new Moto G in its own online store, consumers interested in the low-cost Android handset now have another way to buy a unit. Amazon is now taking pre-orders for the both the 8GB and 16GB models of the Moto G ahead of its Dec. 4 ship date, which is just two days after Motorola is slated to begin sending devices out to buyers. Pricing for the Moto G on Amazon is fairly similar to Motorola as well: The 8GB unit is $179.99 while Motorola is asking $179, and the 16GB version is $199.99, just 99 cents more than Moto is charging.
While there's not much of a difference in terms of the Moto G's pricing or ship date between Amazon and Motorola, it's still worth noting that Amazon is now taking orders for the device. Not only does it give shoppers the chance to pick up a Moto G along with any other items that they may need to buy, but it also means that anyone with an Amazon gift card can use that credit to snag Motorola's new smartphone for an even lower price.
If you're interested in the Moto G and have some Amazon cash burning a hole in your pocket, or if you'd just prefer to do your shopping through the online retailer, you can find the Moto G and its "Add to Cart" button awaiting your click at the links below.
