Ready to jump start your week with a trio of Nokia leaks? That's precisely what I've got for you this morning, as some new images of Nokia's Lumia 525 and Lumia 929 have surfaced along with the first purported details of another Windows RT-powered Nokia tablet.
First up is the Nokia Lumia 525. We first got wind of this Windows Phone at the tail-end of September, but it ended up being a no-show at Nokia's big event in Abu Dhabi. The Lumia 525 has managed to evade the rumor mill since its first leak, but that's changed thanks to the Chinese certification agency TENAA.
The TENAA recently posted an entry for a device referred to as the "Nokia 525" on its website, and it briefly included photos of both the front and rear of the device as well. The Verge snagged the shots before they were pulled. Unsurprisingly, the Lumia 525 looks fairly similar to the Lumia 520 that was introduced at MWC back in February, complete with squarish corners and a round camera sitting all by itself on the phone's backside.
Details on the Lumia 525 are light, but rumors have suggested that it could sport a dual-core device and that that aforementioned rear camera may be of the 5-megapixel variety. The codename "Glee" could also indicate that the 525 will be a music-focused handset. Finally, the TENAA listing confirms that the phone will sport GSM and HSPA connectivity.
Next up in our parade of Nokia leaks is the Lumia 929. We're certainly not strangers to this Verizon-bound Windows Phone, but today the folks at WPCentral have gotten hold of several high-quality photos of the device that Live Tile lovers on Big Red may want to see.
When it comes to specs, the Lumia 929 is expected to feature a 5-inch 1080p touchscreen on its face and a 2.2GHz quad-core processor at its heart. Also said to be included is a 20-megapixel PureView camera with dual-LED flash, 32GB storage, 2GB RAM, wireless charging and Windows Phone 8 Update 3 and the Lumia Black software package.
The design of the Lumia 929 is similar to the Lumia 928, but it's said to have a metal band around its outer edge that makes the phone feel a bit more solid. The Lumia 929 is rumored to be scheduled for release sometime between Thanksgiving and the end of 2013.
Finally, we come to an upcoming Nokia device codenamed "Illusionist." Prolific mobile device leaker @evleaks claims that Nokia is prepping a second Windows RT-powered tablet known as "Illusionist." The Finnish firm just took the wraps off of its first tablet, the Lumia 2520, last month. However, the Lumia 2520 features 10.1-inch display, and the Illusionist is reportedly going to be a smaller device with a screen size in the 8-inch range.
Not much else is known about the unannounced slate at this time, but considering how often we've seen Nokia hardware leak in the past, it likely won't be long before the Illusionist's invisibility spell is broken and more details about it surface.
UPDATE: The Verge claims to have gotten word from its own sources that Nokia is indeed prepping a Windows RT 8.1 tablet with an 8-inch display. The Illusionist will also reportedly pack a Qualcomm processor and is expected to arrive in 2014 alongside the Lumia 1320 "in certain markets." The overall look and feel of the Illusionist is said to be similar to the Lumia 2520.
