Hot on the heels of Samsung's announcement of its new Premium Suite update for the Galaxy S 4, Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II, the company has posted more information on the Verizon Galaxy S 4 version of the update. The update includes both the Galaxy Gear compatibility and bump to Android 4.3 that Samsung promised earlier today as well as support for Samsung's Knox security software, Band 4 LTE and a bevy of updates to Samsung's TouchWiz UI. According to a recently-leaked schedule for this Premium Suite update, this new bundle of software is slated to begin rolling out to users today, Oct. 28. I've yet to see any reports of Verizon Galaxy S 4 owners successfully downloading the update yet, but there's still a few hours of daylight left, so for now Verizon customers can continue to hope that today will bring a heaping helping of fresh Jelly Beans. To check for a software update on the Galaxy S 4, simply head into Settings > About phone > System updates.
UPDATE: Verizon has now posted its changelog for the update, which will bring the Galaxy S 4 up to software version JSS15J.I545VRUEMJ7. Along with all of the goodies already named by Samsung, Verizon says that the update includes enhancements like Mobile Hotspot support in the Data Usage Meter and a fix for a bug related to the volume of a call while the user is on the phone and taking a photo.
