T-Mobile is planning to show us its "boldest moves yet" at an event later today, but at least one of the carrier's announcements appears to have leaked out just hours before the start of the shindig. An image sent to The Verge shows that T-Mobile is prepping a new unlimited upgrade program called "Jump" that will allow customers to buy a new device "when [they] actually want to" for the same price as new subscribers.

The fine print of the "Jump" is still up in the air, but our pals at TmoNews point out that T-Mobile conducted a survey with select users earlier this year that made mention of a similar type of program. The survey mentions that consumers could take advantage of the policy by paying a monthly fee and trading in their existing smartphone.

If this sounds a bit familiar, well, it should. T-Mobile CEO John Legere teased earlier this year that his company was considering an "anytime upgrade club" that would allow subscribers to move up to a new device two times per year in exchange for a "small fee." Both that club and the "Jump" program differ from the traditional upgrade model that most U.S. wireless customers are used to, which offers them a discounted phone upgrade once every two years.

T-Mobile's "Jump" program could provide an easy way for upgrade-happy consumers to move up to the latest hardware while avoiding Craigslist/eBay and full retail pricing. Now we just need Legere and Co. to give us the official rundown on "Jump," which should happen at the T-Mobile event that's slated to kick off at 2:30 p.m. ET.
