Been wondering when you'll be able to stop staring at the Motorola DROID Ultra on your screen and start handling it yourself? If a new leak is accurate, you've got less than a month to wait. That's according to a storyboard sent to Android Central, which lays out a TV commercial for the still-unannounced device. The ad is meant to show off the Ultra's toughened Kevlar exterior, and at the end of the commercial, the words "Only on Verizon. 8-8-13" are displayed.
But wait, the leaky DROID goodness doesn't stop there! Prolific leaker @evleaks has shared a new set of renders that show Motorola's trio of new DROID devices, the DROID Mini, DROID Ultra and DROID MAXX. The DROID Mini is the only unit that we haven't seen previously, and as you could probably guess, it looks like a smaller version of the DROID Ultra/MAXX.
These new Motorola DROID models appear set to replace the DROID RAZR HD, RAZR MAXX HD and RAZR M that debuted last year. There aren't a ton of straight-up spec details available for any of them quite yet, but it seems likely that we'll see a large, high-res display and thin body on the Ultra, a beefy battery inside the MAXX and a Mini that offers a design similar to the other two models but in a smaller form factor. With a possible launch date of August 8, it may not be long before Motorola spills the official details on its new DROID trio, so be sure to keep it locked to PhoneDog for more.
