Right on schedule, Apple today released iOS 7 beta 3 to the registered users of its iOS Developer Program. Apple originally introduced iOS 7 on June 10 and rolled out the first beta on the same date, and two weeks later it pushed iOS 7 beta 2 to developers. Fast-forward another two weeks and the third beta of iOS 7 is now rolling out to the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini and fifth-generation iPod touch.
iOS 7 brings with it the most significant visual overhaul in the history of iOS, including a refreshed lock screen and a new look for Apple's built-in apps and their icons. There are also several new features coming with iOS 7, including Control Center, a menu with quick access to music controls, brightness and other settings that can be accessed anywhere in iOS with a swipe up from the bottom of the display. iOS 7 is slated to launch to the public this fall. Registered developers can grab the new iOS 7 beta 3 by heading to Apple's iOS Dev Center or by going into Settings > General > Software Update on their iOS-powered hardware.
UPDATE: The iOS 7 beta 3 download links are now live in Apple's iOS Dev Center, and it's been revealed that the new beta features the build number 11A4414e. Additionally, the folks at 9to5Mac have listed a few of the changes that have already been discovered in the hour or so since iOS 7 beta 3 went live. Included in that list is a larger status bar on the lock screen, folders that are more transparent, small tweaks to the look of the Notification Center, a new loading animation for apps that are in the process of downloading and new App Store tabs.
