Looks like the torrential downpour of Motorola leaks is extending into the new week. Hot on the heels of a leaked image that showed the white Motorola DROID Ultra in the wild, some new renders of the device have surfaced to give us a look at the phone in black as well as a peek at its backside.
Shared by @evleaks on The Unlockr, the new renders depict a phone that looks fairly similar to the aforementioned DROID Ultra as well as the DROID MAXX that recently leaked out. There's no branding present on the front of the DROID Ultra, but there is a set of capacitive Android navigation keys as well as a kevlar chin.
Around back we can see the Ultra's DROID, Motorola and Verizon tattoos, as well as a camera that's of the 10-megapixel variety. The shooter is reportedly an "RBGC" camera that contains an extra sensor for better white balance and exposure. Finally, it's said that the DROID Ultra will be available in a red version (XT1080R) in addition to the previously-leaked black (XT1080) and white (XT1080W) variants.
This new DROID Ultra looks to be very much a DROID, packing a kevlar backside and slightly-angled corners. Features like the kevlar chin and capacitive buttons are likely to divide consumers, but one thing that I'm betting most folks will appreciate is the DROID Ultra's clean, logo-less face. While we still don't know much about the device itself, previous DROID RAZR models have been fairly high-end for their times, and I'm sure that that's a trend that this DROID Ultra will follow.
