After initially going up for pre-order at the end of May, Verizon's flavor of the BlackBerry Q10 is officially available for purchase starting today, June 6. Pricing for the QWERTY-packin' BlackBerry 10 smartphone is set at $199.99 with a two-year commitment, and just like Verizon's BlackBerry Z10, the Q10 is available in both black and white versions. Customers that'd prefer buying experience with a bit more brick and mortar will be able to snag a Q10 from Verizon's stores starting on June 10.
The BlackBerry Q10 is the second BlackBerry 10-powered smartphone to come to market, packing a 3.1-inch 720x720 Super AMOLED touchscreen in addition to a physical QWERTY keyboard. Also included with the Q10 is 16GB of built-in storage, a microSD card slot for additional memory, 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, Verizon 4G LTE connectivity and a 2,100mAh battery that's providing juice for the whole package.
We were actually first introduced to the BlackBerry Q10 ever at the big BlackBerry 10 launch event that took place in January, but the device took a bit longer to get to U.S. carriers than its full-touch Z10 sibling. The Q10 is finally making its way stateside now, though, and I'm sure that there are quite a few physical keyboard addicts that are glad to see it arrive.
