The string of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Jelly Bean updates continues! So far in 2013, we've seen the Wi-Fi-only, Sprint and Verizon flavors of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 receive updates to Android 4.1, and today it's the T-Mobile version's turn in the new software spotlight. T-Mobile has revealed that an update to Android 4.1.2 will begin rolling out to its Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 today, March 25, and that it'll be available both over the air and through Samsung's Kies computer software. Users in both the XDA-developers forums as well as T-Mobile's own forums have already received the update.
As is usually the case with Jelly Bean updates, owners of the T-Mobile-flavored Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 can expect to gain new features like Google Now's information cards and an increased smoothness of operation thanks to Project Butter. T-Mobile hasn't released an official changelog for the update, so it's not yet clear what else is packed in there, but this is still something that any T-Mobile Tab 2 10.1 owners will want to grab as soon as possible. To check for the 386MB update on the device, just head into Settings > About device > Software update. Instructions for installation using Samsung Kies can be found at the appropriate link below. Happy updating!
