Lenovo A1000, A3000 and S6000 Android tablets set to launch in Q2 2013

Mobile World Congress doesn't officially start until Feb. 25, but that hasn't stopped several companies from announcing their new wares today. Lenovo has continued the MWC march with its announcement of a trio of new Android tablets that are all due to begin launching worldwide in the second quarter of 2013. Here's what the spec breakdown for each model looks like:

Lenovo A1000: The most entry-level of the bunch, the A1000 is 7-inch slate that packs a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Lenovo says that the A1000 is ideal for "music lovers" thanks to its front-facing speaks and Dolby Digital Plus audio. The slate also packs 16GB of storage that can be expanded using the included microSD card slot.
Lenovo A3000: This one's the middle of the pack model in Lenovo's new tablet range, featuring a 7-inch 1024x600 IPS display, Jelly Bean, microSD slot and 1.2GHz quad-core MTK processor packed inside a body that measures 11mm thick. Lenovo also says that there will be a 3G version of the A3000 tablet with HSPA+ connectivity.
Lenovo S6000: As you could probably guess by this model's name, it's the highest-end of Lenovo's new tablets. It's also the largest, featuring a 10.1-inch 1280x800 IPS display. Inside the S6000's 8.6mm-thick frame is a 1.2GHz quad-core MTK 8389/8125 processor and a battery that Lenovo describes as "substantial." The battery is estimated to provide 8 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing. There's also a micro-HDMI port and Jelly Bean, and like the A3000, the S6000 will come in a version with 3G HSPA+ support.

As far as pricing goes, Lenovo says that while cost will vary depending on market and model, it expects each model to be "competitively priced." It's also worth noting that a U.S. launch is in the cards, but no other details on that front are available right now. Overall it looks like Lenovo is covering several different parts of the tablet market with these new slates. There's not really a super high-end model with a full list of bleeding edge specs, but the S6000 could be an option for folks that want a higher-specced tablet so long as it's priced right.
