There's some good news this morning to help the prepaid crowd kick of February, as Verizon has taken the wraps off of a new pair of prepaid plans. The cheaper option of the two comes in at $60 and provides users with unlimited minutes and messaging as well as 500MB of 3G data. Moving up a step, Verizon is also offering a $70 rate plan that also includes unlimited talk and text, but bumps up the monthly 3G data allotment to 2GB. Customers that use up all of their data before their month is up can purchase an additional gigabyte of usage for $20.
Verizon also notes that there are several different handsets that are compatible with its new prepaid plans, such as the Samsung Illusion, HTC DROID Incredible 2, HTC Rhyme and BlackBerry Curve 9310. That may not be the carrier's latest hardware, but for anyone looking for an affordable way to get a device on Verizon's network, these new prepaid offerings may be worth looking into.
