Three weeks into January and while some of you may still be having a hard time remember to write 2013 (I know I am) the Samsung Galaxy Note II has NOT had a hard time staying at #1. For another week now the Samsung Galaxy Note II dominated the Official Smartphone Rankings. So we feature a user review for it on this Monday January 21, 2013.
"Exceeds my high expectations for a smartphone!" By Dominick_7 on January 15, 2013
I've seen every video I could find on the Note 2, and there are many, but after seeing them I had an idea on how good the smartphone would be, and once I got it it exceeded my expectations. Was upset hearing they lessened the wideness of the phone as well as lessened the ppi from the original Note, and am really picky about my devices and screens especially, but when I got it I was pleasantly surprised that it was a gorgeous screen and the real estate was sufficient. As an artist I'm finding after not having been able to paint for years due to the cost of materials, that I'm now able to paint practically just like as if I used to using real paints. Good thing is I don't have to pay for paints and brushes approaching it digitally via an amazing app such as Sketchbook Pro. My under paintings look just as good or better on the Note 2 as my real paintings. I also feel like I have more control since I can fit the device in my hands as opposed to having to use an easel or table. Using the Note 2 on Verizon has been an absolute joy! I can definitely see myself being happy for 1-2 years, until of course they come out with the Note 3 which I am very excited about and looking forward to see how they will push the envelope on an already as close to perfect as you can get for a smartphone. It may take some getting used to the size for some, but I've wanted a 5+ screen on a smartphone since the Archos 5s came out, so it was something I could get used to quickly. The device is just brilliant. The only thing I wished it had was that it came in black, in the 32/64GB variants and that you could install any apps to the SD Card, but apart from that even without them it's as perfect as I could think a smartphone could be. I give it a 5 out of 5! If you have a choice between the Note 2 and DNA or other device, like many others online who actually own both would recommend, do yourself a favor and get the Note 2!
