How about some HTC Sense 5 seasoning to add to your morning coffee, oatmeal or bowl of cereal? That's precisely what we've got for you, as XDA-developers forum member mdeejay has posted a handful of screenshots showing Sense 5 running on a Verizon HTC DROID DNA. (The screenshots aren't showing up in the original post as of this writing, but they've been reposted later in the thread.) The new version of HTC's overlay is said to be running on top of Android 4.1.2. And for anyone that may be wondering where this build of Sense 5 came from, meejay says that it was ported from a Sprint M7, which lines up with previous rumors that claimed that HTC's upcoming flagship smartphone will be hitting the Now Network.
The above screenshot on the left looks similar to the lock screen that we saw on the M7 yesterday, complete with a new set of icons and a clean-looking clock/weather widget. Those icons and widget are also present in the home screen on the right. While there's not exactly a ton of new information on Sense 5 contained within these screenshots, they do provide us with our clearest look yet at what may be HTC's new skin. The good news is that the HTC M7 is rumored to be debuting at Mobile World Congress next month with Sense 5 in tow, so it may only be another month before HTC officially takes the wraps off of the latest version of its Android overlay. What do you all make of Sense 5 so far? How do you think it compares to the skins from other manufacturers?
