Verizon has yet to reveal exactly when its Samsung Galaxy S III will receive is official update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but owners that are unafraid of getting their hands a little dirty have had some leaked software to help keep them busy. Earlier this month, a Jelly Bean update with the build number VRBLJ1 for Verizon's Galaxy S III made its way online, and now an even newer batch of software has surfaced. This latest leaked update features the build number VRBLK1. The necessary files and instructions can be found over at XDA-developers.
As with all other leaked updates, this one is probably something that you should mess with only if you're comfortable with doing stuff like messing with bootloaders and manually flashing software. We here at PhoneDog aren't responsible if you decide to try installing VRBLK1 and something goes horribly, horribly wrong and your phone transforms into a pile of ash. Folks that opt to wait for an official rollout should know that Samsung has confirmed that the update is expected "in the coming months," so they'll eventually get their own taste of Google's Jelly Bean as well.
