Google is scheduled to hold an Android-focused event on October 29, and while we still have a little over a week before it gets underway, a new report claims to have the details on what Google has up its sleeve for the shindig. A source speaking to The Next Web claims to have learned this information from an internal video that named the products that Google is planning to show. The 32GB Nexus 7 that's previously leaked is said to be shown at the event, as is a version that'll offer both 32GB of storage and HSPA+ connectivity. Another tablet that's said to be in the pipeline is a 10-inch Samsung-made device with a 2560x1600 screen resolution. The slate is said to be codenamed "Manta" and will reportedly run Android 4.2.
Along with those two slates, the oft-leaked LG Nexus 4 is reportedly on tap for the October 29 event. The phone is said to feature a 4.7-inch 1280x768 display, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and a 2,100mAh battery. Like the 10-inch Samsung tablet, the Nexus 4 will allegedly include Android 4.2. According to today's report, that new version of Android will include features like a new Google Play store widget dubbed "Content in the center," a "Tablet Sharing" feature that'll allow for user account switching, and support for panorama photo capture in both horizontal and vertical orientation.
Considering how frequently we've seen devices like the 32GB Nexus 7 and LG Nexus 4 leak out recently, it won't be much of a surprise if those two do indeed make an appearance on stage at Google's event. The 10-inch Samsung tablet, expected to be dubbed the Nexus 10, hasn't shown up quite as often as those other two Nexus products, but we did see the name "Nexus 10" appear in some photo EXIF data a couple of days ago. Unfortunately, the pricing and launch dates for most of these devices is still a mystery, so for now we'll just have to be content with rumored spec details. Good thing that Google's event is just over a week away.
