Looks like the end of October just got a tad busier. Google just sent out invitations for an Android event taking place in New York City on October 29. A invitation received by The Next Web shows that the big shindig will kick off at 10:00 a.m., and while there's no indication of what Google might have up its sleeve, the image does contain the line "The playground is open." The event will also be livestreamed at youtube.com/android.
We've seen an LG-made handset referred to as the "Nexus 4" making its way around the web quite a bit lately, and considering that the Galaxy Nexus was introduced at an event that took place around this time last October, this event looks like it could be a good place for the LG Nexus to make its debut. There have also been rumblings of a 32GB Nexus 7 in recent weeks, so there's a chance that that device could be part of Google's event as well. The one thing that I know for sure is that with an Apple gathering taking place on October 23 and a Windows Phone 8 event going down on October 29 (after Google's), the last part of October is going to be a little crazy. Get ready.
