Sprint has steadily been growing its roster of 4G LTE-capable devices in recent months, and today the carrier announced another quartet of new LTE products that it'll soon be adding to its shelves. First up is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, which is the company's first LTE-enabled Android tablet. The Tab 2 10.1 features a 10.1-inch 1280x800 display and VGA camera on its front, as well as a 3-megapixel shooter around back. Inside the slate is a 1.5GHz dual-core MSM8960 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and a 7,000mAh battery. The Tab 2 10.1 also boasts a microSD slot and Sprint LTE connectivity, with mobile hotspot support for up to 10 devices. Expect the Tab 2 10.1 to come preloaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Next is the LG Optimus G, which was confirmed to be Now Network-bound last week. Sprint's Optimus G will feature a 4.7-inch 1280x768 True HD IPS Plus display, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 13-megapixel rear and 1.3-megapixel front cameras, 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM and a 2,100mAh battery. It, too, will come to market with Android 4.0 in tow, along with some LG software touches like QSlide and QuickMemo.
The LG Mach is a device that QWERTY keyboard addicts may want to keep an eye out for. This device touts a slide-out physical keyboard as well as a body that measures 0.48 inches thick. Packed inside that frame is a 1.2GHz dual-core MSM8960 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, microSD slot and a 1,700mAh battery. The screen on the Mach is of the 4-inch, 800x480 variety, and there's also 5-megapixel rear and 0.3-megapixel front cameras. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be the OS that comes preinstalled on the Mach.
Finally, Sprint plans to offer a new USB stick that offers 3G, 4G WiMAX and 4G LTE connectivity. Dubbed the Sprint Plug-in-Connect Tri-Mode USB, the device has a fold-away USB connector as well as an LED service indicator. It measures 35mm x 84mm x 15 mm and will work with Windows as well as Mac machines.
So when will you Sprint folk be able to open up your wallets for these various products? Unfortunately, Sprint isn't ready to talk release or pricing details quite yet, saying that availability details for all four devices will be announced at a later date. If you're a Sprint customer already has access to your carrier's LTE network, or if your town is one of the many that are expected to be lit up with LTE coverage soon, at least you know that you'll soon have a handful of new products to hop onto that service with.
