Once again, the Samsung Galaxy S III successfully defended the #1 position in the People's Choice Chart and Mobile Tech Expert's Chart in PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™. The behemoth phone has proven its dominance throughout the last two months and it shows no signs of slowing down. What will it take to dethrone the Samsung Galaxy S III?

MT. PLEASANT, SC – For six months and counting, PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has set the bar for allowing readers and experts alike to vote for and rank the hottest smartphones in the market. In week 24, the Samsung Galaxy S III fought off the competition with relative ease. Beating the HTC One X by a margin of 167 votes in the People's Choice Chart and 16 points in the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, the Galaxy S III took first place in both charts.

The HTC One X, however, stayed its #2 position in the People's Choice Chart, holding off the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (global) by 61 votes. The Nokia Lumia 900 also saw an unexpected jump to the #4 position (up from #6) and was only 37 votes shy of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in third place. In the Mobile Tech Expert’s Chart, the HTC One X once again took second place, beating the Apple iPhone 4S by a margin of seven points.
