Earlier this week, Verizon finally made the IMM76K update for its Galaxy Nexus official, much to the delight of the phone's owners that haven't gotten an update since December. The only information pertaining to IMM76K's rollout that Verizon has provided so far is that the update is "coming soon," but it appears that some Galaxy Nexus owners have begun receiving it. So far the reports from Galaxy Nexus owners that've installed the update have been somewhat sporadic, suggesting that the update is rolling out in small batches.
This new IMM76K update bumps the Verizon Galaxy Nexus up to Android 4.0.4 and also includes a handful of bug fixes, including ones that'll allow for the completion of calls without choppy audio and the ability to shoot off a text message without running into connectivity issues. Sounds like a good update to me. We'll be sure to update you when we hear more from Verizon on the Galaxy Nexus's IMM76K rollout, but until then, you GalNex folk that have yet to receive it can go into Settings > About phone > System updates to check for it manually. The full changelog for the update is available below.
