Been wondering when the rescheduled launch of the HTC EVO 4G LTE will be taking place? Now you've got a date to mark down on your calendar, as Sprint has revealed that the EVO 4G LTE will be available for purchase "in most retail channels" on Saturday, June 2. This includes Sprint retail stores as well as telesales and the company's website. Pricing for the EVO 4G LTE is set at $199.99 with a two-year contract.
Earlier this month, HTC revealed that shipments of the One X for AT&T and EVO 4G LTE for Sprint had been stopped for review by U.S. Customs due to an exclusion order from the ITC. This led to the delay of the EVO 4G LTE's launch, which was originally supposed to take place on May 18th. Customers that pre-ordered the new EVO began receiving their units late last week, but now we're just a couple of days out from any old schmoe being able to walk into a Sprint store and pick up an EVO 4G LTE. The Customs review may have pushed back the EVO 4G LTE's launch by two weeks, but it's good to see that the whole situation is finally coming to an end and that it only lasted for a couple of weeks rather than a month or more. How many of you are planning on strolling into your neighborhood Sprint store this weekend to pick up an EVO 4G LTE?
