Looks like HTC Rezound, Motorola DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX owners may have a reason to party a little harder this weekend. According to an image from Best Buy's systems that's been sent to Android Police, updates to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will begin being pushed to the aforementioned handsets next week. The photo shows that the DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX will be receiving their ICS bumps on Wednesday, while owners of the Beats-packin' Rezound will be getting their taste of Google's latest dessert a couple of days later on Friday.
Both HTC and Motorola have already confirmed that the Rezound, DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX will be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich, but neither company has offered up information as to when those updates are expected to begin rolling out. While it's kind of strange to get word of these updates' release dates from a Best Buy leak rather than one from Verizon, HTC or Motorola, we're not ones to complain about an early heads-up about some ICS upgrades. Of course, nothing's official until Verizon, HTC or Moto make it so, so you owners of these three handsets may want to hold off on popping the cork off of your good update champagne until we hear about these dates from one of them. When we do, you can bet that you'll be the first ones we tell.
