It's been a while since owners of the original ASUS Eee Pad Transformer have heard anything about their update to Ice Cream Sandwich, but today the company's U.K. arm took to Facebook to shed a little more light on the situation. ASUS says that it's hard at work on the Transformer's over the air update to Android 4.0, and although there's no release date set for the upgrade just yet, ASUS is doing all it can to get it out as soon as possible after the Transformer Prime's ICS update begins rolling out on January 12th.
Today's update from ASUS may not have brought with it a precise start date for the Transformer's Ice Cream Sandwich update like I'm sure many owners of the slate would've liked, but it's good to see ASUS keeping us in the loop on the progress of the upgrade. With the rollout of the Prime's Android 4.0 update expected to kick off in just a few short days, we should be hearing more about the OG Transformer's own ICS upgrade soon. We'll be sure to let you know more as we get it.
