Last week we heard about a secret "project" that Motorola is working on for the original DROID, but at the time details on what exactly the project involved were sparse. More details have come out today, though, revealing that the project is a "very limited update." Motorola has told participants of the project that the update contains two security patches and that the new software should basically be "invisible" when it comes to actual device operation.
So there you go, DROID folk. This update may not be as exciting as some had hoped for, but it's good to see Motorola continuing to show love for the two-year-old device. There's no word yet on when this update might actually begin rolling out to everyone still toting around their trusty DROIDs, but you can be sure we'll let you know more when we do.
