In the market for a new AT&T Android phone but want something tad more rugged than the recently-announced Nexus S? The Motorola Defy+ may be right up your alley. According to a report from This is my next, Motorola is shopping a new version of the Defy around to carriers that features 850/1900/2100 HSPA, meaning it would be a great fit for use on AT&T's network. This refreshed Defy is rumored to be packing an upgraded 1GHz TI OMAP 3620 processor and Android 2.3.3. Outside of that, specs are said to be largely the same as the ones found on the OG Defy (3.7-inch 480x854 display, 5-megapixel camera, 512MB RAM, etc).
So when might this beefed up Defy make its way to your pocket? Well, that's where things get a little hazy. Right now it's not even clear if the Defy+ will ever be hitting AT&T. For all we know, it could end up on some carrier in Canada and never see a release stateside. If and when AT&T does decide to offer the Defy+, though, you can be sure we'll pass the details along.
