Ready for a good, old-fashioned mystery? The photos you're looking at above and below were uploaded to Flickr today and, according to the data included with the images, they were taken with a device called the HTC Ruby. The name Ruby was originally thought to be the codename of the HTC Arrive, but obviously the device you see reflected in the display of the HTC Flyer isn't an Arrive. There's not much we can discern from the 200-odd photos that the user took of the Flyer and uploaded to Flickr, but you can see a camera above what looks like a dual LED flash as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.
So what exactly could the Ruby be? Tough to say. It doesn't really resemble any smartphone that we can think of, but the fact that it's HTC-made means that we could be looking at either an Android phone or something running Windows Phone 7. We'll be sure to keep digging and report back with more when we have it, but in the mean time feel free to drop your thoughts, opinions, hopes, dreams, or whatever else in the comments below.
