If you happen to be an owner of a Motorola DROID device on Verizon that hasn't been officially updated to Gingerbread yet (so everything except the DROID X), I hope you like Froyo, because you may be stuck with it for a while longer. According to a report out of Droid-Life, Verizon has rejected all builds of Android 2.3 Gingerbread from Moto due to the list of bugs present in the version that rolled out to the DROID X. There's no word on when the update flow might begin again, but the site's sources claim that Moto is hard at work to remedy the situation.

Technically Moto never promised a release date for these devices' Gingerbread updates, saying only that they'd be coming before Q3 was up, so it's still got until September to roll the upgrades out. Still, that doesn't make this news any less of a bummer — if it's accurate, anyway. We'll be keeping a close eye on the situation, DROID 2, DROID 2 Global, DROID X2, and DROID Pro owners, so stay tuned!
