Earlier this month we were treated to a preview of Gingerbread running on the Motorola Atrix 4G, complete with a newer version of Motorola's custom Android skin. At the time, it was rumored that the update could begin rolling out to users either this month or next, and now the folks at BriefMobile are reporting that the Atrix's helping of Gingerbread will indeed be landing in July. The site claims that Moto and AT&T are prepping the final version of 2.3 for the Atrix and that owners of the device can expect the update to begin rolling out over the air sometime next month.
As always, unannounced release dates for both products and updates can and do change, so Atrix 4G owners probably shouldn't start holding their breath just yet. Motorola has already begun pushing out Gingerbread to other products, though, so it wouldn't be a shock to see the update arrive on AT&T's dual-core wonder sometime soon.
