Motorola and Verizon recently made the 4.3-inch display-packin' DROID X2 official, but if you'd prefer to trade some of that screen real estate for the DROID 3 and its physical QWERTY keyboard, you may not have to wait much longer. According to a "reliable tipster" speaking to TechnoBuffalo, the D3 will be arriving sometime next month and will feature a 4-inch qHD display, dual-core processor (we've heard 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430), physical keyboard with a dedicated number row, 8-megapixel camera, front-facing shooter, and HDMI out. What about LTE, you ask? Unfortunately, the DROID 3 will reportedly be a 3G-only device, just like its DROID X2 brother.
With a dual-core processor and an improved screen, both in size and resolution, the DROID 3 sounds like a pretty respectable follow-up to the DROID 2/DROID 2 Global. The lack of LTE is sure to be a deal-breaker for some, but for customers that won't be in an LTE area for a while, don't care about LTE, or simply can't live without a hardware QWERTY, the D3 could be a good way to go. Now that all of the details on the DROID 3 are coming together, are any of you going to be picking one up?
