Love taking pictures with your smartphone and obsessing over image quality and megapixel count? You may want to sit down for this news, then. According to a newly-leaked ad posted over at Pocketnow, HTC may be prepping an Windows Phone 7-powered device with a 16-megapixel camera and dual LED flash. The phone in the ad bears more than a passing resemblance to HTC's new Desire S, although there's no word just yet on whether or not the actual hardware will end up looking like the device in the spot or if it's simply a placeholder. You can check out the full clip below.
As I'm sure any camera nerd will tell you, the megapixel count of a camera isn't necessarily indicative of the quality of the images that it'll produce, but a smartphone with a 16-megapixel camera certainly sounds intriguing. Would any of you be interested in giving this HTC device a go because of its camera, or do you care more about battery life or some other feature when it comes to your smartphone?
