Along with the HTC DROID Incredible 2, the Motorola DROID X2 is one of the more oft-leaked upcoming Verizon Android phones. We've already seen the device in photographs and on video, but we're never one to shy away from another sneak peek at an unreleased smartphone, and we're sure that you aren't, either. The folks at TechnoBuffalo were recently handed some new images of the DX2, along with a benchmark video and even a short list of specs, too.

Most of the specs are ones we've seen before, including a 4.3-inch 960x540 qHD display and Android 2.2 with an update to Gingerbread possible before release, although there are two features in this leak that differ a bit from those in the past. The source of this rumor believes that the DX2 will ship with a 1.2GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor and 768MB of RAM, whereas previous rumors claimed that the handset would sport a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 and 1GB of RAM. The source also says that the battery in the DX2 is much better than that of the original model and that the handset could ship in mid-May. Finally, there's one more difference between the DROID X and its successor that's worth noting: the new model is missing the physical camera button.

Some folks may be a tad disappointed that the DROID X2 doesn't differ much from the OG X on the outside, but it certainly looks like Moto has given the X2's internals a healthy bump. In fact, the DX2 managed to score a 2453 in the Quadrant benchmark, which isn't too shabby a number. So, does the DROID X2 and its possible $199.99 price tag seem worth your consideration or is the lack of LTE or a front-facing camera a deal breaker?
